Had a great day on the Osage. Tied on an old reliable 1/8 oz jig but not sure it would matter. What I can say is I didn’t have to put it on their nose. Unlike the tiny jigs almost every fish Thump the bigger jig. It’s much easier keeping the heavier jig in the strike zone even without a weight. I was in 8 to 12 feet of water and sometimes spooked the bigger fish because of boat slop. Caught 13 over a lb and released most of them. Still brought home some good eaters. |
