September 27, 2020 Fishing Report – Bucksaw Resort and Marina
It’s been a beautiful Fall start and Crappie fishing has been decent this week. Catfishing continues to be very good. Dry spell continues and the lake is low (704.25′ on Sep 27), still muddier than we would like near the Marina.
Crappie – The fish are scattered but they’re biting. Fish the flats and catch fish in 4 feet of water up to 20 feet of water, minnows working best.
Bass – Fish the main lake flats using buzzbaits early and switch to squarebills or spinnerbaits as the sun rises to heat the day.
White Bass – Fish wind blown points and humps using crankbaits.
Catfish – Fish the flats in 6 to 12 feet of water using cut shad.
