FREE REPORT: Steve Blake’s weekly notes on multi-species

Tuesday, March 2, 2021

See some of Steve Blake’s weekly notes on multi species on Truman Lake!

Current water level is 705.85, and water surface temp is 36 degrees.

Well finally the ice is gone and all ramps on the lower part of Truman are open. This weeks warmer temps should bring water temp up a little. Crappie on the lower lake are still on winter pattern on the bluffs, but should start to transition to the mouths of the creeks and coves in the next week or two. Finding crappie suspended on shad along the bluffs in 25 to 35 feet of water 20 feet down on jigs. Char and blackĀ and char and orange have been best colors.

Largemouth are slow on jerk baits on steep main lake and secondary points. Shad pattern colors are best.

Cats are on cut shad in 25 to 35 feet of water lots of both eater size and big fish coming in.

Have seen a few walleye coming in below the dam in the river. 1/4 oz jigs char and orange slow jigging off the bottom in 18 to 22 feet of water.

Glad to finally be able to get back on the water.

Motel at Sterett Creek will open March 12th, and the crew has made tons of improvement to the facility at the motel, marina, and campground to make your time at the lake much more enjoyable.

See ya on the water!!!!
