Check out guide Steve Blake’s latest weekly updates on multi-species for Truman Lake!
By Steve Blake
Current water level is 707.78, and water surface temp is 63 degrees.
Crappie went to the banks 2 days ago on the lower lake and fishing has been hot. Look for crappie in 3 to 5 feet of water. I have been using a jig and cork setting at 21/2 feet deep. Lots of fish in the 10 to 13 inch size range. Fish the steeper pea gravel banks. Char and black has been a hot color but the way the bite is right now I think they would hit a wet sock.
White bass and hybrids have fired up on the humps and at the weir. 1/2 to 3/4 ounce Bob Bates jigging spoons char in color bounced vertically off the bottom are producing fast action when they are running water.
Large mouth bass are on the beds in 3 to six feet of water. A variety of soft plastics are working well.
Cats are still shallow in 3 to 8 feet of water with cut shad working best.
Well that was short and sweet but fact is fishing is reallYYYYYYYYY hot right so get yourself and your buddies down to Sterett Creek Marina and get in on the action!!!!!!!
