6/14/21 Steve Blake’s latest multi-species fishing report

Tuesday, June 15, 2021

See the latest multi-species fishing report from Steve Blake covering white bass, hybrids, crappie, walleye, and largemouth!

Current water level is 612.41 and water surface temp is 78 degrees.

White bass and hybrids have been the best bite this week. Look for them in 12 to 20 feet of water on humps and current funnels. For the white bass we have been fishing a 1/2 ounce char and flash Bob Bates spoon vertical jigging off the bottom. Whites have been good size up to 2 1/2 pounds. In the same areas slow rolling a 3/4 ounce white Bob Bates sassy shad head rigged with a 4 inch pearl white Bob Bates sassy shad on the bottom has been best for hybrids. Fish up to and over ten pounds coming in this week.

Crappie are starting to get on the summer brush piles as the water has fallen to a depth that makes them fishable. Minnows fished just above the top of the brush have worked best. We are seeing a lot of short fish but the good fish are there you just have to weed through them.

Seeing a few walleye on the humps in 15 to 20 feet of water trolling cranks but very scattered.

Largemouth have been tuff with a few top-water fish being take before the sun hits the water. Later in the day plastics on main lake points fished 8 to 15 feet deep have been best.

Cats have slowed some but still hitting on cut shad and bluegill in 6 to 15 feet of water on the main lake flats.
