Water Temp 68 – 72 degrees
Crappie: Good
The fish are everywhere, brush piles, trees, open water, bushes. Lots of fish on brush piles in 15′ to 20′ of water.Open water Crappie we caught were in 5-10′ deep in 7-30′ of water using black and chartreuse jigs and minnows, the bite was aggressive.
Bass: Fair
Buzz baits, jigs, plastics, jerk bait, the bite is fair. Bass seemed to be in the back of covers or on the points. Fish mostly shallow in 10′ or less. Fish were very scattered. We caught several, not real pattern.
Catfish – Good
Catfish are good mostly channel or channel ledges. We caught 20 fish mostly 2-4lbs.
very scattered, we fished 5 hours.
Hybrids – Great
We fished brush piles in the main lake on the 16th and caught several hybrids on minnows while fishing for crappie. We found large schools feeding on shad in 15′ to
24′ of water. White shad 3.5″ works well. Find the shad find the fish. Not much change in this report.
